2001-11-29 ~ 10:15 p.m. ~ Old toys

I haven't put in a stitch today. I just didn't feel like doing anything but sit in front of my computer typing and typing. From the rate I'm going, I really need 4 pairs of hands and 48 hours.

Cheryl bought a strawberry shortcake doll from a push-cart store which specializes in old toys. The smell of strawberry shortcake is still intact, but the doll doesn't have any dress on. So she's going to sew it. My colleagues ask me to bring my strawberry shortcake dollhouse to let them see it, and I finally remembered today after months of reminders. It is one of the oldest toys I have, and I'm glad I didn't throw it away. It is an antique! My plastic dolls still has smell intact, I think that's the good thing about Strawberry shortcake. I'm going to save it for my daughter next time. But hopefully she doesn't spoil it. I still have my Barbie toy set, when my auntie bought for me when I was 10 years old. It was quite cheap then, less than 20 dollars for a elaborate kitchen set with food, fridge, sink, and others. Everything is kept in mint condition.

I still have my box of japanese paperdolls which is also initially my aunt's collection, but she passed it to me during one of my bdays. I had so much fun playing those. I always look forward to grandma's house so I can play them. I must ask Chizuko if she knows where to buy them in Japan and to show me the next time I go to Japan.
