I had to rush to 2 places today. I had an external course today and went to see that things were going all right. Then I had to rush to Gallery Hotel for my team retreat. The hotel did not look like a hotel. It looked like a loft styled apartment for yuppies, but it looked cheap. I like their full length glass window panels that made the room looked bright and airy. I liked that. We had egg, tuna and tomato mayonnaise sandwiches for tea break in the morning. We selected our choice of lunch last week and I had grilled chicken breast with some barbeque sauce, a little cup of rice by the sea and seasoned vegetables. Wow, that was good. Oh, before that was mushroom soup. We had a late lunch at 1pm, so my appetite was kind of upset by then. I didn’t finish the soup and rice, but I ate the chicken breast. I think the best was dessert. We had mango pudding with real mango chunks in it. The pudding was whipped to a creamy smooth texture. Heavens! And it was served in a very stylish glass cup. On top, was some basil leaves. Sigh…In the afternoon, we had again some sandwiches and Chinese dim sum. I ate only a little because I was still happy and full with my dessert. I haven’t had such a good meal in quite a while.

Did I mention about work? No, because although we were drilled to contribute ideas for 3-5 yrs rolling plans, I contributed, but I thought it was all too far away. Anything could change, and it was all paperwork just to please the management.

I left at 4:20pm to rush back to my original location to clear some stuff. I am so tired today. The sun was hot and I couldn’t get a cab. In the end, I took a bus and walked.

I treated myself to some retail therapy. I bought myself a hand cream and 2 bars of soap. One milky scent and the other a mandarin scent. I also bought a lime and 2 lemons. I thought I would try lime + honey instead of lemon + honey. That would be interesting!

Limes are more expensive than lemons! I only found out today while I was paying. The lady told me limes were sold based on the weight. The lime costs me $1.05 while the lemon costs me only 45 cents.
