2003-03-18 ~ 8:56 p.m. ~ A walk after the rain
Today, my friends and I had Vietnamese noodles for lunch. It was very delicious and just the right to eat during such a hot humid day. I didn't feel like going out in the sun. I walked again today after work. But I cut it short and walked only for half an hour. But I just feel good that I can stick to my schedule. I plan to do my laundry tomorrow but I had enough energy to complete it today, so I feel very accomplished today! As I walked, I told myself that I just had to keep my pace and breathing constant. It's not a race, but I hope I can build up a stronger stamina over time. Who said that walking doesn't work up a sweat? I do, maybe not as much as I run, but I definitely sweat, and my legs feel the strain, because I walk faster than normal, almost like brisk walking. I think it rained slightly this afternoon over at here. The ground was damp at some part. I tried to distinguish the different smells as I walked the track. I could smell burnt grass, damp grass, trapped rain in the trees that never get to see much sun light. I am just amazed by how many different things I can smell as I walk. xxxx I met HB yesterday briefly after work yesterday. She called me as I was about to step out of office and told me she was just around the corner and wanted to catch up with me. I said OK and went to meet her. We had a very nice short chat. She asked me how was my personal life, and everything else. She is very concern for me, and I'm touched. She added that I looked so worn out. That makes me a little sad but I know it must be true. I need more sleep!! I went to bed at 10pm yesterday.
