2004-07-21 ~ 10:34 p.m. ~ Mom's in Hospital
Mom got admitted into hospital today. I kept my mobile in my bag always, but today, around 4, I had a urge to check if I got any messages. I missed 7 phone calls. It's from my auntie, and also mom. So my mom was at the hospital waiting for the blood test results. She had recovered from her bout of flu, but still feeling fatigue and had no appetite. She also discovered some strange red rashes on her legs that came up to her thighs. When she went to our doctor, he told her to go for a blood test immediately as he suspected it's either she had an allergy, or suspected dengue fever. After the wait of the results, the doctor told her she had to be warded for observation, as they suspect that she may have dengue fever. (But she is not running a temperature at all) I went home straight to pack her bags, put in clothes, toilettries, and then went down to the hospital. It is a long wait just to get to the bed. It is ridiculous. The waiting time could be 1-2 hours. So we went to grab dinner first, before going back to be warded. I just hang around and talked with her until after 8:30pm. Then she told me to go back home. I thought of taking the day off, but it's just a waiting game anyway, and the doctor would make his round tomorrow morning, so I'll go to work and then visit her during lunch time and see how it goes.
